To ensure your and our safety when visiting Whangarei Physio and Hand Therapy please read and abide by the following when in our clinics.
Advice for clients at levels 2 and 3
Please do not visit our clinics if you are unwell, please phone to reschedule or request a telehealth appointment
We are open for face-to-face consultations, but telehealth (online consultation) is the preferred method of consultation. If you would like a telehealth appointment, please call us to arrange.
If you have any general health problems, please call the clinic prior to your appointment to discuss. Other health problems may increase the risk of serious complications from COVID-19 and health providers are required to conduct a risk assessment to determine whether it is safe to proceed with a face-to-face consultation. If there is any doubt a telehealth consultation will be scheduled first.
Toilets are closed and not available to patients at both our clinics in level three.
Masks are required for all face to face consultations. If you have a face covering exemption you will still need to wear a face covering while in the waiting room and for the majority or for the duration of your consultation depending on the treatment received. It may be possible for you to remove your face covering for short periods during your treatment if your therapist deems it safe to do so. If you are unable or unwilling to comply with this policy please phone the clinic and we can offer you a telehealth appointment or refer you to another service. Thank you for understanding that this policy aims to keep you, our other patients and staff safe.
Please do not bring anyone else to your appointment where possible. Please ask those providing transport to wait in the car and not the waiting room. If you require a support person, please call us ahead of your appointment to arrange, they will be required to provide us with their details for COVID tracing as well as answer our screening questions.

Do you have a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19?
Are you a probable COVID-19 case?
Are you required to self-isolate and/or waiting for COVID-19 test results?
Do you have new or worsening respiratory symptoms, including one of the following: new or worsening cough, sneezing and runny nose, sore throat, fever, temporary loss of smell or altered sense of taste, shortness of breath?
Do you have any of the less common symptoms, such as: diarrhoea, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, malaise, chest pain, abdominal pain, joint pain or confusion/irritability – where there is no other likely diagnosis?
